Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. A half English mixed with Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. She is an Argentinean with Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four of them come from her father's previous marriage. Buenos Aires was her home up until she was six years old, after which the family relocated from the city of Victoria at the time of London. According to Taylor-Joy, the move was traumatic and she refused to learn English to the hope of returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was required to switch schools. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in shows. She quit the high school aged 16 in order to concentrate on her acting profession. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to work as an actress. her dream came true after she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
