Taylor Alison Swift is an American musician and singer. She was born on December 13th in 1989. Her discography includes many kinds of music and her songwriting, frequently inspired by her own life is receiving a great deal of press attention and critical acclaim. Swift was born in West Reading (PA) and moved to Nashville as a teenager to pursue a career as an artist in the world of country music. Swift was signed to a songwriting contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2004 and signed a recording contract with Big Machine Records in 2005. Swift's debut album was U.S. platinum-certified and was her debut album. It was self-titled. Swift's subsequent albums, Fearless (2008), and Speak Now (2010), were a focus on country pop. The album's openers "Love Story" and "You Are My Friend" were among the first songs from the country genre to be ranked in the U.S. pop and all-genre airplay charts, respectively. Its top-charting song, "Look What You Made Me do" was the product of the media's scrutiny. Following the departure of Big Machine, Swift signed with Republic Records in 2018 and released her seventh album, Lover (2019), which was followed by her autobiographical documentary Miss Americana (2020). In her albums for 2020, Folklore and Red, Swift delved into alternative and indie rock. Swift's singles "Cardigan", Willow, and "Willow" made it to the top of the Hot 100. After a dispute over her masters Swift began to record a re-record of six of her albums. Swift released two albums in 2021: Fearless (Taylor's Version) and Red. "All Too Well (10-minute version)" was the longest track that made it to the Top 100. Midnights the album from 2022, and its lead single "Anti-Hero" have set new streaming records that have stood the test of time. Swift has also created music films and videos like All Too Well, The Short Film (2021) and played supporting roles. Swift is among the most successful musicians ever, having sold more than 200 million albums all over the globe. Swift is the most highly rated female on Spotify and is the only artist with five albums that sell more than 1 million copies sold in the US. Swift has won 12 Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year wins and an Emmy Award; 40 American Music Awards and 29 Billboard Music Awards; and the 92 Guinness World Records. Swift has been featured in numerous prominent rankings, including the Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Songswriters of All Time and Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists. The award-winning artist has been named Artist of the Decade and Woman of the Decade, Swift is a defender of women's rights and artists' empowerment.
